Daniel M. Stolz received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University in 1977, cum laude. Mr. Stolz graduated from New York Law School in 1980. Mr. Stolz is admitted to the Courts of the State of New Jersey, the United States District for the District of New Jersey and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.

Mr. Stolz joined the firm in 1982 and became a member of the firm in 1990 at which time he became a named member of the firm. Mr. Stolz is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Bar Association, the Commercial Law League, the New Jersey Bar Association and the Essex County Bar Association.

Mr. Stolz is a past Chair of the Bankruptcy Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association. He also serves as the editor of the journal published by the Bankruptcy Law Section of the New Jersey Bar Association and coordinates educational programs for the Bankruptcy Law Section through the Institute of Continuing Legal Education.

Mr. Stolz has been featured in countless educational programs dealing with bankruptcy issues. Among these programs were presentations to the American Society of Certified Public Accountants, presentations to the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Institute of Continuing Legal Education and the New Jersey Bar Association. Mr. Stolz recently served as moderator of a seminar on the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005.

Mr. Stolz was one of the attorneys responsible for creating the Bankruptcy Bench Bar Conference held every year by the New Jersey Bar Association and the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Stolz has represented Debtors, Creditors’ Committees, Trustees and secured creditors in numerous Chapter 11 cases in New Jersey and elsewhere. He is the author of "Representing Unsecured Creditors’ Committees in Chapter 11 Cases", published in the New Jersey Bankruptcy Manual by the Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Stolz served as Editor of the June 2005 issue of Bankruptcy Law Magazine, published by The New Jersey Lawyer.

Throughout his career, Mr. Stolz has handled many large and complex bankruptcy cases. Recently, Mr. Stolz led the firm’s representation of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in the Bennett Funding case. In that capacity, the firm represented unsecured creditors with claims totaling approximately one billion dollars. The Bennett Funding case, which has been the subject of numerous newspaper and magazine articles and radio and television reports has been termed the largest Ponzi scheme in American history. Mr. Stolz also led the firm’s representation MacGregor Sporting Goods in the Chapter 11 case filed on behalf of MacGregor.

Mr. Stolz has been chosen by his peers to be included in The Best Lawyers in America. This publication has become universally recognized as the definitive guide to legal excellence in the United States. Mr. Stolz has also been recognized by New Jersey Monthly Magazine as one of the leading attorneys in the State.

Mr. Stolz has frequently been quoted in many national publications, including the New York Times, the Star Ledger and Forbes Magazine, on bankruptcy issues. Mr. Stolz recently appeared on Bill Kurtis’ Investigative Reports program on the A & E Network. The program entitled "Selling the Dream: Stock, Hype and Fraud" focused on the Bennett Funding case and a number of other pending cases in which the firm was involved.
